Stony Stories

For generations, and across cultures, stones have been used as markers, for paths and trails, graves and the custom of placing a small stone on a grave to indicate a visit, it struck me that stones are frequently used as an aide-memoire.

So, prompted by pebbles that I have picked up on my travels over the years and kept as talismans to the past. And, by the stones that my children have picked up and given to me, I chose made a book about the memories those stones evoke.
